The 91,000+ EST sequences recently submitted to GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ
by The Institute For Genomic Research (TIGR) are now available
from the EBI ftp server in EMBL and GenBank flatfile formats.
EMBL Format:
ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/embl/TIGR_EST/ tigr_est_0497.embl.Z
GenBank Format:
ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/embl/TIGR_EST/ tigr_est_0497.gbf.Z
The GenBank format file is the same file which can be found at the NCBI:
ftp://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/daily-nc tigr.est.0497.gbf.Z
Although these sequences will be made available as part of the EMBL
Release 51 (June 1997) in the EST divisions, we will not immediately release
them with the normal daily and cumulative updates because of the size of
the submission (>50MBytes compressed).
For the EBI SRS servers we will treat this dataset as a second division of EMNEW.
We should have this dataset indexed and available through SRS within a day.
