I'm trying to find a glycoprotein gene of a baculovirus using as a
probe a clone which contains part of the same glycoprotein sequence but
from another related baculovirus. When I finally got positive Southern
hybri.results and sequenced one of the clones I found that the clone I
got has a transposable element which has carried part of a gene from its
host. Has that ever happen to you or can you explain what's wrong?
thanks for you help, 'cause this is causing a lot of
problems to me.
