Bill,

have a look at:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/seq/page.cgi?F=HsProgress.shtml&ORG=Hs

It has the top 40 pieces in GenBank (EMBL) - after assembly.
They range from 3.8MB to 700 kb.  You can get the FASTA files
from that (which is what I assume you want).
