Hi,
In SWISSPROT .dat files, under comments (CC), there is a field called
"SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:" that tells where the proteins are localized in
the cell. This annotation sometimes contains words like "BY SIMILARITY",
"POTENTIAL", "PROBABLE" etc. Can anyone tell me what exactly these terms
mean. For ex. when it says "By Similarity", what percent similarity or
identity threshold is used to annotate them. I could not find this
information in the swissprot documentation
