Release 89 of the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database is available from

EMBL release consists of the EMBL normal division and whole genome shotgun
(WGS) data. Some useful statistics about this release are provided as
follows:
Total file size: 69 GB of compressed files, with 1.5 % increase over last
release.
376 GB of uncompressed files, with 3.0 % increase over
last release.
Division data: 83,666,567 sequences comprising 146,595,277,574
nucleotides, an increase of about 3.8 % of number of entries over release
88.
WGS data: 18,535,353 sequences comprising 81,521,656,204 nucleotides,
an increase of about 2.8 % of number of entries over release 88.
