Peptide Chemist
To be part of the team producing peptides at Cambridge Research Biochemicals
- supplier of custom peptides to the research community in both Pharma and
academia.
Role:
1. Synthesis of peptides using both automated peptide synthesisers and
manual procedures.
2. Cleavage of peptides from resin supports
3. Analysis and purification of peptides by HPLC and mass spectrometry.
4. Carrying out post synthesis modification of peptides, cyclisations,
and attachment of dyes.
5. Providing information to sales team for accurate quotations
6. Provide customers with status of work in progress and provide
information on synthesis routes when required.
7. Carry out protein predictions to select antigenic peptides for
antibody generation.
You should hold a Ph.D. or degree in chemistry and have practical experience
in synthetic chemistry. Experience in peptide chemistry is preferred.
You will be an enthusiastic, organised and practical person who enjoys
problem solving and working in a team.
You will be reliable, hardworking and willing to learn from others. You will
be committed to meeting the needs of the research clients within a service
environment.
