Position # 2050: We are seeking an experienced senior scientist who is a
broadly-skilled, productive researcher experienced in the study of
virus-host interactions and/or host cell defense against viral infection.
The ideal candidate will have experience with animal models of one or more
human pathogenic viruses, with a broad background in general virology. <p>
The successful candidate will help lead a group to design and execute
experiments to assess the in vitro and in vivo efficacy of antibody and
small molecule therapeutics for human viral diseases. Strong
inter-personal and oral/written communication skills are essential, and
the demonstrated abilities to direct preclinical research projects and
manage personnel are also required. The candidate will be part of an
interactive team, and will supervise others in experimental design and
data interpretation, as well as help determine future research directions.

Requirements:<br>
PhD or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years post-degree experience.
<br>
Some industrial experience is preferred, but a suitable candidate with
an academic background will be considered. <br>
Background in studying immune response to virus is preferred. <br>
Must have prior leadership experience as s/he will have PhDs reporting.
<br>
Experience in drug development under CDER guidelines is a plus. <br>
Must have strong publication record. <p>
