 As a part of the Wing lab in the School of Life Sciences at UNLV 
((http://www.unlv.edu/faculty/hjwing/), you will be engaged in fundamental 
research relating to different aspects of bacterial pathogenesis.  You 
will be involved in the following areas
MOLECULAR BIOLOGY: Cloning of DNA, expression and purification of 
recombinant proteins in bacteria
MICROBIOLOGY: Bacterial culture and aseptic techniques
CELL CULTURE: Growth and maintenance of cell lines 
PROTEIN CHEMISTRY: 2D gel analysis and Western Blotting
DATA MANAGEMENT: Use of different programs for data evaluation. Use of 
basic computer programs such as spreadsheets, graphing, and word 
processing.
Additional responsibilities will include organization of the Wing 
laboratory, tracking of orders, and training of junior personnel. The 
ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Life Sciences (M.S. preferred) 
comprehensive experience in molecular biology, microbiology and a 
fundamental knowledge of tissue culture handling. Of course up to date 
training will be given here on site. We expect you to be a team player and 
to have good communication and writing skills in English. The position
