Part-Time Research Assistant position (24 - 28 hrs per week) to
evaluate induction of apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cultured
mammalian cell lines. Employee will perform cell culture of mammalian
cells and evaluate effects of targeted agents. Employee will also
carry out growth of bacteria for purposes of recombinant expression of
specific proteins, affinity purification of proteins, and enzyme
assays. B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or related field
required and knowledge of use of sterile techniques from experience in
microbiology or mammalian cell culture. Good communication skills are
required and the ability to assimilate information on new procedures.
