JOB TITLE: Purchasing / Sourcing Manager

SALARY : $95000 - $105000
DESCRIPTION:
Expanding Biotech Division of Major Medical Products Company has created a new
position for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for setting
the strategic procurement direction for this group. Will develop and manage
supplier selection process and OEM strategy to support new product introduction
and business risk management. Reaches agreements and contracts for desired
products / services, service levels, costs, and other measures based on
business requirements. Will interface with R&D for raw material
purchases.
Require a BS degree and min 7 years purchasing experience of raw materials for
fine chemicals and/or biotech related products. Must have experience and
demonstrated success in manging complex projects and have a thorough knowledge
of purchasing principles and practice including negotiation strategy and
tactics. Must be fuly conversant with commercial codes and ethical stnadards
of behavior.
