The School of Pharmacy and Molecular Sciences contributes to a wide range of
degree programs within the University including Bachelors of Medicine,
Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory
Sciences, Biotechnology and Science.
Working within modern well equipped research laboratories, Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology staff have a wide range of research interests including
Biotechnology, Evolution and Developmental, Genetics, Cellular Immunology,
Coral Symbioses and Molecular Diagnostics.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop a research program
relevant to the region and to contribute to the continued development of
biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology in the tropics.
The appointee will be required to:
1. contribute to the teaching of biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology
undergraduate and postgraduate students;
2. maintain an active research program in an aspect of biochemistry, molecular
biology or cell biology;
3. recruit and supervise honours and postgraduate research students.
