A Post Doctoral Fellowship position is available immediately to study the molecular mechanisms of host/pathogen interaction. The research program covers tuberculosis pathogenesis using in vitro and in vivo system models. The successful candidate will develop independent strategies to study phagosome biogenesis and antigen presentation in macrophage infected with mycobacterium..
Motivated candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent and a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology and immunology are encouraged to apply. Experience in mycobacteriology would also be desirable.
The position is available for up to three years, depending upon research progress and continuation of funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and according to UBC guidelines. Candidate with a good list of publications will be encouraged to apply for Provincial and Federal Scholarships within or prior first year of his training
