I would like to know if there is a procedure out there to chemically
bleach a fluorescent probe that is attached to a protein while
maintaining the integrity of that protein. The probe is fluorescein
isothiocyanate. My initial attmpts at oxidation and acylation failed
to bleach the fluorescence. Has anyone tried to do this or have an
idea that might work? Thanks a lot.
