another big message on GFP

Greetings GFP people,
From reading the meeting questions posed above, it seems that the issue
of GFP dimerization is accepted as fact. A quick lit search yielded no
obvious papers dealing with this issue, though i'm sure they're out
there. Can anybody please direct me to a good reference, preferably one
in which the multimeric state of GFP is analysed directly (Not fusion
protein/ FRET studies)?
Finally, there was a brief bit on dimerization being a step in
chromophore maturation. Would somebody please be so kind as to point
out a reference for this, too. A hypothetical model for how
dimerization could affect chromophore maturation would be much
appreciated as well.
	Thanks for your time,
Brian Reid
