<snip snip>
Science 217, 1252-5 (1982) says 5% n-Propyl gallate in glycerol does
the job. Of course it then was not tested on GFP.
To me, it seems to preserve S65T fluorescence quite well.
However, I recently tried Permafluor embedding
medium from Immunotech (Marseille, France) with initially very good
results. But when I examined the slides two weeks later, I observed a
high bacjground fluorescence with FITC filters. H33258 (bisbenzimide)
in contrary was looking quite well.
Was it wrong to store the slides at RT? Would they better be kept in
the fridge?
