I think what people are looking for is this to become a "moderated" list. I
subscribe to a listserver discussion on plant tissue culture and there is
none of the offensive material that is common on fluorpro. I have
communicated with the moderator and he says it only takes 1-2 hours per day
to keep the thing going and newer software is reducing that commitment
further. If whoever is in charge of the fluorpro discussion is interested,
will contact me, I will send you his e-mail address. He could have
suggestions that could help out.

I really cannot agree more. It is truly offensive to see the junk that
comes in, and frankly the fact that it continues to come in suggests that
there is a general sense that this is an acceptable price to pay?? It's
pretty bad when you want recomend a list to others (especially to women),
