making movies out of multi-image tif files

Hello Nayma, (a CC goes to the fluorpro group)

Thanks for your hints!

(Nayma pointed out that NIH image would be useful, but I don't have
a mac).
There is a PC version of NIH image called ScionImage, IIRC I
got it from www.scioncorp.com . Since I'm already using ScionImage,
I'll gonna have a look what I can get out of it. I'm not aware of a
movie making function in this version of NIH image, so I'll see.

Another software that seems to *very* useful is MainActor, actually
for assembling pictures and clips to movies, including sound.
It's quite a huge download (the W95/NT demo version is about 14 megs,
it's also available for OS/2 und linux). See
http://www.mainconcept.de or http://www.mainconcept.com for more.
It's less than 100 USD for a cross-platform licence.

And, of course, there's something higly sophisticated (and pricy)
called AVS ( http://www.avs.com ) for rendering image stacks into
movies. I saw it displaying (very impressive!) some NMR data
from my skull.

cheers,

Wolfgang
