Dopf and Horiagon Gene 1996 173 39-44  Showed that 2-232 were essential
but in reading a summary of the GFP symposium held in 1997 someone
reported that at Clontech they found only 227 residues necessary for
autofluorescence. Didn't say where they made the deletion though.
