A colleague recently transfected cells with a GFP-tagged construct that
localizes to the nucleus as expected. He decided to label the cells with
a GFP antibody detected with a Cy3-conjugated secondary antibody to see
if there was a 1:1 correspondence of the green GFP signal and the red
antibody signal. Why were some of the green cells not labeled by the
antibody? Any explanations out there?
Any insights would be appreciated.
