Universal Imaging Corporation is seeking candidates to fill an Applications
Scientist position.

Application Scientist: General Job Description	

Must understand the general principles involved in imaging research. This
knowledge will be employed to assist in the development of applications and
software enhancements.  In addition, a large part of the position includes
assisting customers in the development of end-user applications and/or
understanding how to use imaging applications to perform their research or
professional tasks. Also, Application Scientists will assist customers with
questions on the use of specific software features.  

A qualified candidate will have one or more of the following
characteristics/skills:

Understanding and experience with various microscopy techniques.
Understanding and experience with one or more imaging-based experimental
protocols.
Understanding and experience with one or more high throughput screening 
protocols.
A desire to help others in learning how to improve their imaging-based
research.
A desire to help advance the field of imaging research.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates will be asked to submit sample of their writing or a methods
section from a publication in which they were first author.
