Fixation of cells for FACS and storage

Hi

I am hoping to fix EGFP expressing cell culture lines for FACS analysis
and store them until I can analyse them. By the looking through the
archive it looks like paraformaldehyde fixation is the best, but how
long can I store cells in this solution?

Basically I'd like to know what is the best fixation technique and how
long I can store cells with the minimum loss of fluorescence.

Thanks

Marcus
