Dear all,
I want to localise a protein-GFP fusion in the cell wall of plant cells but
although it is present there I cannot detect any fluorescence. The problem
is most likely that the pH in the wall is too low and as a result the
fluorescence intensity decreases dramatically. My question is if any of you
had the same experience and if there are GFP variants available which still
fluoresce at pH values as low as 4.5-5?
Thanks a lot in advance for every reply,
Ton.
