Since the bionet mailing lists are only gateways from the newsgroups,
there is no real way to do it.
The most sensible thing is to read bionet via news instead of email.
Historically, news readers offer much more sophisticated means of
filtering than most mail readers. Furthermore, you are likely to read
news only once a day (unless you are especially bored, or you have to
wait for the results for this several-hour experiment) and therefore
encounter the spam only once a day. On the other hand, most people
check their email every time when their computer flashes "you have new
mail" just to find out that they received only yet another "make $50000
from $5" advertisement.
It is almost everywhere possible to read bionet via news. If in doubt,
ask your local computer guru.
