The Research Supply Team within the Protein Chemistry Department is
seeking a highly organized and responsible individual to lead the Protein
Purification Group. The primary duty is to manage the group whose
responsibility is the production of purified biotherapeutic research
reagents, antibodies and recombinant proteins for in vivo and in vitro
studies. This position requires extensive and diverse protein purification
experience, encompassing a wide range of proteins, techniques and scale.
Additional experience with protein conjugation and digestion will be
advantageous. Strong managerial, organizational and communication skills and
the ability to interact with a variety of project teams and functional areas
are essential. Experience or desire for working with databases, planning,
and setting deadlines is necessary. Some outside contract oversight is
involved.
The ideal candidate should have a BS or MS in Biochemistry or related
discipline with a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience and previous
managerial responsibilities.
