Dear colleague,
IEEE Multimedia Systems'99 - the 6th IEEE International Conference on
Multimedia Computing and Systems (IEEE ICMCS99 for short) - sponsored by
IEEE Computer Society - will take place in Florence, Italy, from 7th to
11th June 1999.
Conference topics include but are not limited to Operating System Support,
Distributed Multimedia, Human Computer Interaction, Multimedia Databases,
Multimedia Tools and Applications. The Conference will include Tutorials,
Panels and Special Sessions on key arguments of Multimedia. Special
Sessions are for invitation only, and aim at making the point of the
subject matter from the views of distinguished scientists and practitioners
in the field.
Best papers presented at IEEE ICMCS99 will appear on two Special Issues in
IEEE MULTIMEDIA and Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications.
A Special day will be dedicated to European Community initiatives and
programs on Multimedia. The program will include display of results and
achievements by research and development projects, and presentations by EC
officers .
Call for papers deadline is October 15.
