Hello out there!
I am working in a protein lab (an therefor I do not have much knowledge
about immunology). We have in collaboration with another group been
succesful in producing some specific polyclonal antibodies. Therefore
we wanted to continue to make monoclonal antibodies.
Our fusion was ok, it was between the spleen cells and X63, the
hybridomas were proliferation and a test showed that they were also
producing antibodies against our protein.
BUT!!! Then we passaged the hybridomas, and after this they are no longer
able to proliferate.
WHY? has anyone expierence with the same thing, and especially can anyone
give any suggestions, which might help us overcome this problem.
