IMMUNOLOGY OF AGING RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS INVITED by a faculty member of Univ
ersity of Illinois' College of Medicine: In View of changes the immune status (
tumor kill, cytokines, NK subsets, surface marker) of healthy subjects are moni
tered. We hope to resolve if there are distinct, intrinsic immunosenescent feat
ures of the Natural Killer (NK) cell system of healthy elderly. Data may provid
e a rationale for immunopharmacological interventions, basal reference values f
or clinical/basic studies in aging, and longevity-related predictive values. OT
HER RESEARCH INTERESTS: Nutritional intervention - Biochemical events during ly
mphoid cell-cytokine or drug interaction - Immunology of skin - Steriod recepto
rs in cartilage - Immune profile during menstrual cycle. If interested, please
communicate by E Mail (U56375) or phone 312-996-6083 or FAX 312-996-2827.
