taurine vs toxic substances

Hi.
I happen to know that "Taurine" can protect the liver from
toxic chemicals (see: Waterfield et al. 1993, Toxicology, vol. 77,
pp. 1-20). Note that all experiments are performed using MALE rats.
They also says that this beta-amino acid is found in many mammalian
tissues.
An article by John Emsley in "New Scientist", p. 19, april 3, 1993
says that the babies that are breast-fed swallow taurine with their
mother's milk.
Can anyone provides me some scientific references to support the
above notion of John Emsley, i.e mother's milk contains taurine.
Thank you in advance.
