What lymphocyte population does Con A stimulate?

Hi,

I've been looking at Con A responses of thymus and spleen lymphoctyes.
I seem to recall that either Con A prefferentially stimulates T suppressor
cells. However, I not sure if that is true or just an "urban legend", has
anyone out there got any info on the subject, personal experience or published
reference.
