Hello Fred:
This was addressed by Richman et al (1982) J. Immunol. 128, 2300-2305.
They found that total hamster IgG does bind to protein A, but not quite as
efficiently as mouse IgG does. Hamster IgG binds roughly one-third as well
as does mouse IgG. No breakdown in this reference as to specific chain types.
