While much of the information in this book relates to bovine and
equine specimans, there is enough good background material to allow modify the procedure for canines. Remember that neutrophils will lose there function
very quickly and so must be used in function assaysat a standard time
usually within 2 hours of collection. They recommend canine neutrophil
isolation on a discontinuous percoll gradient using 65% and 72% percoll in
1X HBSS.
