Hi networkers and colleagues,
I am a young European, Belgian, Ph.D. immunologist. I am also impressed by the
number of posting these last weeks. A year ago, the rythm of posting was
something like 2 or 3 messages a day. Although, I think that we are not enough to
discuss in this news group. In fact, in the lab. where I work, I am the sole
people who read the News on the Internet network. I think that Europeans
immunologist are not used to work on networks. Moreover, in our lab., the
possibility to work on the internet network is rather new. I try to stimulate my
colleagues but there still a lot of work to do.
About the content of the news group, I must say that most of the subjects
discussed here are either oustide my personnal interest or too general (I have
some problem to reply in english, as you can read it). Although, I think that we
have to continue to developp this news group, the time will help us.
About my personnal interest, I work on the relation between antigen-presenting
cells and Th cells and more precisely I study a special type of APC: dendritic
cells. Presently, I study the maturation of dendritic cells at the level of the
signals needed for the expression of the costimulatory signal (B7.1 and B7.2) by
dendritic cells.
BTW, I am loocking for a postdoctoral position either in US or in GB for the end
of summer 1995.
Regards
