Q: CD8+ T cell lines

I believe that CD8+ cells are dependent on interleukin-2 which
they obtain from production by CD4+ cells.  Why the addition
of exogenous IL-2 is not sufficient, I'm not sure.  Offhand, I
might suspect the involvement of other CD4+ cytokines.
