Well, right now I'm a junior undergraduate biology major at Ohio State
University. I transferred from St. Louis U., on the recommendation of my
microbiology teacher, who said state schools have better funding.
I think biology is really intersesting, but I am having second
thoughts on majoring in it. I'm not the smartest person in the world,
and I'm afraid that by the time I apply for grad. school I will have a
pretty low GPA, and not be able to get in. To be honest with you, I
think that school is very biased. Its like a sport, some people are
good at it and some are not, those who are excel, and those who aren't
are pushed down. I cannot get any research jobs here, because of my
lack of experience and average GPA, I cannot even get a job washing
bottles. I do not know what its like to work in a real lab, so I do
not know if I will like it or not.
What I real want to do is work with novel vaccines, or somehting
similiar to biotechnology. What I don't want is a desk job. OK well
that's my 'story'. Thanks.
