Does anybody know (or thought about) why the secondary immune
responce is so different than the primary one?

I can understand that the amount of antibodies produced
are a lot more due to the memory cells. But why the
antibody concentration stays very high for a long time
after the antigen is eliminated from the body ?
Since the antibodies created are of the same nature
both in primary and secondary responce, they should have
the same lifetime. Therefore, B cells should go on
being active in order to obtain the high antibody
concentration in the secondary responce. But again
WHY????
