Many journals do not make their contents available on-line free of
charge. There are electronic versions of Current Contents and the like
(I subscribe to Reference Update, which I like pretty well), but they
require payment (and they're quite expensive (Several hundred dollars a
year)). (I'm not sure if they're on the net; I know you can subscribe
and get floppy disk updates every couple of weeks). There is a
journals contents newsgroup as a part of bionet to which a small number
of publishers post their OWN JOURNALS ONLY (bionet.journals.contents).
