I'm 26 years old and I would like to know about my disease : POUCHITIS.
Last year I underwent three surgeries. I need informations, E-maill of
hospital, University and departament of Medicine about POUCHITIS's treament.
POUCHITIS is a common complication ofileal reservoir created after total
colectomy for surgical treatment in Ulcerative Colitis.
- Clinical: an incrase in frequency of bowel actions with the passage of
blood and lower abdominal pain;
- Endoscopic: Segmoidoscopic evidence included an erythematous mucosa with
ulceration and contact bleeding;
- Histological: An acute inflammatory infiltrate in the mucosa with crypt
abscesses and ulceration in areas adjacent to mucosal "colanisation.
