Patient has resistent infection. Symptoms include pain and fever.
Temperature responds to antibiotics. Condition persists post hysterectomy
(adhessions, etc.) and prolonged course of IV antibiotics. Temperature
displays striking, consistent, periodic behavior. Every 6 to 7 days,
fever spikes 2 to 3 defF, lasts 3 days, and then subsides.
