Hello,
I have read about the importance of costimulatory molecules
(B7/BB1 and CD28) for initial stimulation of T cells. I was
wondering about the role played by these molecules in the
recognition and killing phase of the cytotoxic T cell ie.
once the T cell has been stimulated to proliferate by a
particular antigen, will that T cell be able to recognize
and kill a target cell presenting the same antigen to it
without the presence of the costimulatory molecules.
Thanks
