As the title says, we are thinking of purifying our antibodies by eluting
them off of our immunoblots. We can't use the traditional
antigen-affinity column, since we can't easily purify our antigen.
I would like to here what people have to think about this technique
(yields, specificty). The problem with our IgG purified antibodies is
that they have a natural cross reaction to another protein. We hope that
this will allow us to get antibodies more specific to our antigen.
I would also appreciate any other references on this technique than
Olmsted (1981) and Fisher and ? (1984).
