I read somewhere that myeloma parent cells can revert to
HAT resistance, and that it is a good idea to re-select
HGPRT negative cells periodically for their resistance to
20 fg/ml of 8-azaguanine and to re-select thymidine
kinase negative cells for their resistance to 30 fg/ml of
BrdU. However, aminopterin resistance may not be a
common problem. Reversion of the X63-Ag8 line is rare, if
it occurs at all.
