Dear Sir;

        I think it does.  But you need attention and careful examination to
prove it.  Evidences ever elucidated are:
1.  Human TNF (TNF-alpha) binds to and triggers signals of 55-kDa but not
75-kDa mouse TNF-R.  Therefore, human TNF is weaker than mouse TNF in some
activities of mouse system.
2.  Mouse TNF binds to and triggers signals of at least 55-kDa human TNF-R.

According to abve these data, rat TNF is expected to bind and signal at
least 55-kDa human TNF-R, which works as the main signaling TNF-R as for
endothelial cells and PMN.  But, I am not sure if mouse TNF binds to 75-kDa
TNF-R or not. In addition, I don't think you can find out data on rat TNF
in recent articles.  Though it depend on your experiment system, you might
need not to clear these points.  Anyway, I think it does.  Try.
