Matt, are you aware of the encouraging nef deleted SIV strain that
protects macaques from SAIDS? (Science 258:1938 - 1992)...I am not aware
of any follow up studies on comparable HIV attenuated strains, however.
Also, obviously any potential live HIV vaccine would be difficult to
introduce into clinical trials...Any one have thoughts or further info.
on this?
