That's kind of along the lines I was thinking. CD4 expression would be
another factor that separates professional APC from other cells. Could it
enter into the activation/anergy equation and shift the equilibrium
towards activation (by signaling)? Is it just another sticky molecule? Or
is there (dare I say it) an APC antigen receptor that recognises peptide
presented by MHC II on newly activated T cells.?.
