By now, you've probably heard on the news about Charles Craik, of UCSF,
developing a possible block against HIV. The general laymen's term in
the newspapers, however, only described the mechanism as
altering the virus itself so that it thwarts its own attempt at
reproduction. Does anyone know the actual mechanistic details as to how
this is accomplished? Please, no surmising. Anyone intimately familiar
with Craik's research (perhaps Dr. Craik might even be on the net)? Thanks.
