Not usually in horses. Have you asked your DVM about this? Have you
posted your question on lists like VETMED-L, rec.equestrian, EQUINE-L?
Also, call and ask to speak to the veterinary dermatologist at the nearest
vet school. There can be complications from the pemphigus and / or from
the treatment. One of these is laminitis, others are things like
secondary infections, etc... Usually things like steroids (dexamethazone)
and / or gold salts are used to treat pemphigus in horses.
