Hi everybody:
We are working with induced apoptosis in thymus and spleen in mice and
hamster. We would like to find detailed protocols to perform the comet
assay. We are particularly interested in hearing comments regarding
personal experience with this assay.
Is it suitable for thymus, spleen and even Peyer and lymph nodes?
Does it replace the apoptotic cell count with ethidium bromide/acridine
orange and the ladder pattern in agarose DNA electrophoresis gel?
Some papers mention something about staining the gel with ethidium bromide.
Does anybody has ever used acridine orange instead or in addition to
Ethidium bromide?
Thanks in advance for any help.
                               Manuel Saenz M.D.
