One method of getting the cells to stick to the plates is to use a coated plate. The cell could be
biotinylated through the cell membrane proteins and then stuck to streptavidin coated plates.
Also there are a variety of maleic anhydride coated plates that react directly with amine groups
on the cell membranes to immobilize them.If either of these techniques is used, be sure to block
any remaining reactive sites on the plates to prevent nonspecific binding.
