Applications are invited from post-doctoral scientists to work on molecular and
cellular aspects of malaria vaccine design and development. The project will focus on
the assessment and development of a variety of systems aimed at optimizing the
induction of cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses in animal models and in humans. Molecular
biological experience, and familarity with animal cell culture or cytotoxic T
lymphocyte assays would be advantageous but not essential. There will be ample
opportunities for interaction with other groups in the Institute of Molecular Medicine
and at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics and possibilities for some field work.

The position is part funded by the EU for three years with the possibility of
extention. The position is funded at post-doctoral level but outstanding pre-doctoral
applicants are encouraged to apply. In this event there would be an appropriate
adjustment in salary and duties. The starting salary will be within the range £14,317 -
17,466 per annum.
