I'm currently working with some bacterial proteins which can stimulate, when added in
soluble form, CD8+ T cells in bulk culture and sensitize target cells for killing.
I suspect that the recognized Ag is a toxin with a "cell invasive activity".
Does anybody work on this topic? somewhere. I would like to know if this property is
a common feature of bacterial toxins. I know that the adenylate cyclase of bordetella
pertussis can also penetrate eukariotic membrane.
thanks a lot
